Forward Osmosis

main principle

Our award winning technology is based on the principle of forward osmosis (FO) – not reverse osmosis (RO)! Thats the basic principle of every living cell. This way you can utilize the advantage that nature uses since billions of years:

process steps

The process consists of:
◉ the osmosis step that pulls fresh water, and
◉ a reconcentratio step (→ cyclic process) that reconcentrates the osmotic agent of the draw solution. Thereby the proces gets self-sustaining.

the Company

fluvicon was founded in 2013 by physicist Thomas Grießler, and developes an osmotic process inspired by nature for water treatment and energy production.
fluvicon was able to secure some of the most prestigious high-tech funding, and already successfully finished two investment rounds.
Currently fluvicon focuses on Oil & Gas, Mining and Seawater Desalination, and leads international research consortiums dealing with these topics.
